Vintage Van Briggle Ming Blue Vase w/ floral design -retired

Description

This is a beautiful Van Briggle art pottery vase made in the 40’s/50’s.
It has a flattened bulbous base with a flared neck to rim. It is decorated with flowers on two sides in high relief. The vase is finished in Van Briggle's famous and most popular Ming Blue glaze and has an overall turquoise color inside and out. It is marked on the bottom - Van Briggle, Colo Spgs. It is artist initialed (difficult to see what the initials are) and as the glazers ink mark.
Measures approx. 5” tall x 4” wide- The top opening is approx. 3 ¾”.
Very good vintage condition. No cracks, breaks or repairs.

This vase has been gently used and it does have some slight grim inside bottom, a couple marks that may/may not come off, some glaze loss, and a small scratch on base.
Established in 1899, the Van Briggle Pottery studio closed in 2012.
