Van Briggle Pottery Mulberry Coneflower Cabinet Bud Vase
Very pretty Van Briggle Pottery, Colorado Springs, Mulberry matte finish pottery vase with sculpted cone flower or daisy. Leaves spreading out to the sides.
Such a satiny smooth and beautiful look. The appearance is soft and romantic. The colors are a rich deep mauve and soft blue.
This piece stands approx. 4 1/4" tall. It has only a few specks of silvery exterior blemishes on the piece due to the way it was stored before my acquiring it. So very minor they are hard to see. Two small on rim and one on flower face, like it rubbed very lightly on something. No chips or cracks and I don't really see any crazing.
The vase is marked on the base with a makers mark and artist mark 8. Letters show Van Briggle Colo Spgs. The bottom has a yellowed appearance. Believed this piece dates to the late 30's or early 1940s.
