Van Briggle Pottery Cat Kitten Figurine-HighGlaze Green-1980s Mid Century Modern

Description

A very cute example of Van Briggle’s creativity when they produced this playful kitten figurine. I believe this example along with another kitten in a different pose were designed and marketed in the last half of the 20th century. I have seen and owned these figurines in a multitude of different colors.  The blue and rose hues tend to be most often found; I’ve only seen a couple in this forest green high glaze color.  The figurine measures 3 3/4” end to end and stands approximately 2 1/2” to ear tip on the top of the head. After thorough examination, I can fine no damage or repairs. There is minor crazing upon close inspection, none of which is stained. I have several of these in both poses and different colors of which I will be posting in my shop. Please view all pictures as they are considered part of the description.
