Van Briggle Pottery 1980s General William Jackson Palmer Bust (Stevenson)Special commissioned and one of only four Van Briggle Pottery bust of General William Jackson Palmer who was the founder of Colorado Springs, Colorado and donated the land for the Van Briggle factory designed by Nicholas Van den Arend. The building and land are now part of Colorado College. MINT CONDITION. No chips, cracks, damage or repair of any kind. Bottom marked with logo, Van Briggle, To Mr. Schultz and personally signed by Craig Stevenson. Bust is 7 3/4" tall and 7 1/4" wide. In a phone call between Mr. Schultz and Mr. Stevenson it was revealed that the inspiration for this rare bust was Mr. Stevenson's 4th grade teacher. We are pleased to offer our customers a very large, estate fresh collection of quality Van Briggle Pottery that was assembled over 40 years of collecting. The collection was one of the largest private collections of Van Briggle and includes many rare and one of kind, investment quality examples and includes something for every level of collector.
