Van Briggle Parakeet Shade & Lamp, all original, Signed, Dated 1953 Excellent!

Description

This is a great piece!  The lamp itself is in perfect condition,the pottery  base measures 6 5/8 inches with the shade, the total height of the lamp is 13.25 inches tall.  The pottery base is in perfect condition the shade is in good condition.  Some of the butterfly's wing looks to have been eaten away and the shade
might
have a few indentations that can be pushed back out.
I used the word
might
because the shade may be intentionally indented; I am not sure.  I also am not sure of everything that is supposed to be included inside the shade. It doesn't look to have anything missing but I could be wrong.  If anyone would like additional photographs I will be happy to provide some. All in all I think that this lamp is incredibly cool; in my mind I can just imagine someone buying this lamp or a piece like it while on vacation. It is so neat!
