Schlaggenwald H&C - SCL13/HCZ16 - Bouillon Cup & Saucer

Description

This listing is for a near-antique double-handled bouillon or cream soup cup and saucer set manufactured in Czechoslovakia by Schlaggenwald H&C China.  I know that Schlaggenwald is a city, but a popular replacements website lists Schlaggenwald as a manufacturer, too.  The H&C could signify Haas & Czjzek, also.  I was able to match the pattern to both manufacturers, but the Schlaggenwald version appears to have a white base color (pattern SCL13) and the Haas/Czjzek version appears to have a cream or off-white base color (pattern HCZ16).  This set definitely has the cream-colored base color.  The pattern features beautiful scrollwork with floral sprays with heavy gold banding and highlights.  The set has a circa date of 1918-1938 because of the abbreviated Czechoslovakia in the backstamp.  This set came from a local estate sale.
The set is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, noticable scratches, or crazing.  The pattern shows no perceptible wear and the gold is strong and looks to be mostly intact.  There are no flaws or blemishes that I can see and I would personally classify each set to be between "Excellent" and "Like New" condition.
This is a beautiful example of near-antique Czechoslovakian China.
