Description

Got this in an auction lot years ago. Dates to the late 1940's. Named to a MELVIN FIGLEY which after a glance on Ancestry.com it appears that according to the veteran death index he served in 1940 and was from Ohio. More research is warranted. Construction defiantly would coincide with that. Has shipping tags to another Figley which dated to the 1950-60's era time frame so it was re-used by a family member. Neat old brown canvas with copper riveted leather reinforcements on the handle and brass rivets around the top.  Measures 34 inches long and 22 inches wide (when laid flat) . Shows use and age.
