Large and Small Ewer/Vase by Van Briggle - signed and marked

2 Van Briggle Ewer/Vase pieces of pottery. One is a small example and signed by Anna Van Briggle. It is a beautiful black glaze with a grey, bluish glaze on the handle. This piece is in very nice condition with no issues or concerns. I can not tell if it ever had any water or flowers in it, but the glaze is just superb over the entire piece. The large piece is signed Van Briggle along with a stamp mark and an MC in the signature area below Colorado Springs. This too is a very nice piece with a black glaze along with a small bit of grey bluish glaze adorning the handle. The handle does have one slight spot of white showing from a apparent chip. It may have been a spot from the glaze missing, but I think it feels more like a small chip to the glaze. I tried to show it in the photos along the handle on the middle area. Other than that, I could find no other issues and again I am not certain this one has had any water or flowers in it. I tried to show all sides and bottoms on both of these gorgeous Van Briggle examples. We find Van Briggle pieces occasionally, but to find 2 of such quality condition, let alone 2 of similar color and style, is rare. To find these 2 together was surprising enough and then to see how similar they were, made us feel compelled to keep then together, so this sale is for both pieces as one lot.When purchasing this item you have acknowledged you have read all details provided in the description.
