Fukagawa Arita Japan Gold Bamboo Trees 12" Oval Serving Platter
Beautiful white porcelain
12" x 8 3/4" oval serving platter
by Fukagawa with delicate gold and silver bamboo trees and a gold line on the rim.  The pattern "Gold Bamboo" was discontinued circa 1950.  Gold maker's mark of Mount Fuji and a stream
"Fukagawa Arita Made in Japan Hand Painted"
.  Arita is a region in Japan where the Fukagawa porcelain factory is located.
This piece is part of an estate sale purchase.  The family was stationed in Japan in the mid 1950's where this set was purchased.  All of the pieces are in very good condition, I was told the family only used it a couple of times.  There are no chips, cracks or crazing but there may be a few light utensil marks.  I have many more pieces in this pattern for sale, listed separately.
