Back on Ebay,  my excellent super nice unmolested specimen of the classic '79 Yamaha XT500F. All the hard mechanical work has been done. This bad ass bike currently has a little over 13,000 miles on the ODO.
WHAT THEY SAY ABOUT THIS BIKE:
Yamaha produced this 4-stroke enduro from 1976-1981. This was the bike that began the rich heritage for the next generation of reliable enduros. They are highly sought after bikes and values are climbing annually. A blast to ride as they are light and powerful.
Engine was rebuilt by Yamaha dealer at around 6000 miles. Recently had the cam chain replaced and fresh carb jetting at Yoshi's Garage. They say a naturally aspirated bike like this needs to be re-jetted for high altitudes, but I ride it regularly in the San Gabriels at 6-8000ft altitudes with no discernible loss of power.  Comes with some of the original manuals I picked up on EBay and all receipts. You may find one for less, but you would have to dump a ton of cash and time into it to match this beauty. Its ready to ride - or a great example for a frame-off restoration.
Everything works perfectly, its runs just like new! Buy it now so you can just jump on and ride! I am in no hurry to sell,
    so no lowball offers please!
All work done by top vintage cycle mechanics in CA and myself.

This is a great durable dual-sport bike that will start on the first kick (if you know how to start a Yamaha THUMPER)!
As with any vintage vehicle, all sales are final so buyer should know what they are purchasing.
